Athletes in the Community

Snowshoe Qualifier

Tangle Creek offered their facilities for the 2018 Snowshoe qualifier. Many athletes from Barrie and its surrounding areas gathered for an amazing experience.  Days of planning invested by Kathy Pyke and her crew of coaches and volunteers made for an exceptional day despite the bitter cold.  Pictures will be posted in the snowshoe section.

“Fit Families” or “Fit Teams” Challenge

This can be undertaken by an athlete and their family, or a group of athletes and a volunteer. SOO is looking to sign up 150 families by mid-October. Please pass the info along to families in your communities who you think might be interested. The link to register the family or team is here:

There are prizes! This may provide some motivation during the in-between months between summer sports and snow sports so organize your family or team today and sign up!
